چکیده
Objective: The aim of this study is to identify the first trimester markers that may be associated with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and evaluate whether those might used for prediction or not. Methods: Pregnant women between 11 14 weeks gestation applying university hospital August 2018 March 2019 were included in study. Body mass index calculation blood tests including complete count, TSH, T3, T4, HbA1c, uric acid, CRP, procalcitonin, PAPP-A b-hCG levels done during assessment followed by 50 grams glucose challenge test 24 28 each woman. Patients positive results further evaluated a 3-hour, 100-g OGTT. According diagnostic results, relationship biochemical trimester, BMI GDM was statistically analyzed. Results: A hundred eighty-two pregnant participated Fifty-four had (GCT) while 128 negative results. GCT underwent OGTT and, diagnosed GDM, 158 considered healthy according There no significant difference non-GDM groups terms age, height, b-hCG-mom, PAPP-A, PAPP-A-mom, acid procalcitonin (p>0.05). mean body weight, HbA1c higher lower group compared group, these findings (p<0.001). Conclusion: use seems have significance. need extensive, randomized studies universal criteria.

متن کاملFirst-trimester biomarkers for early prediction of gestational diabetes mellitus: a meta-analysis
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) occurs in approximately 7% of all pregnant women. In order to minimize the risk of GDM-associated complications, it is still very important to identify novel biomarkers for early prediction of GDM, particularly in the first trimester. In this study, we conducted a meta-analysis to assess the clinical implications of first-trimester biomarkers, including sex h...

Objective The objective of this study is to examine whether a first trimester hemoglobin A1c (A1C) of 5.7 to 6.4% predicts an abnormal second trimester oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). Methods We conducted a retrospective cohort study of all women screened with A1C through 13 (6/7) weeks' gestation between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2012. Prediabetic women (A1C of 5.7-6.4%) were compa...

OBJECTIVE To propose new cutoffs in plasma glucose levels in screening and diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in the first trimester of pregnancy. METHODS A 50-gram oral glucose challenge test (GCT) was performed in 1,716 singleton pregnancies at 6-14 weeks' gestation. In those with a positive GCT, a 100-gram glucose tolerance test (GTT) was carried out. The GCT and as necessary...
